Embarking on the Danube cycle path was an exhilarating adventure, with stunning landscapes and the perfect blend of natural beauty and urban charm. From the challenging hill climbs to the picturesque rolling hills and historic castles, every moment was a reminder of the region’s rich cultural heritage. With the assistance of our e-bikes, we navigated the terrain with ease, making the journey an unforgettable experience.
Today’s ride was a true gem, with its mix of gravel paths, forested trails, and stunning views of the river. We took a detour to the beautiful Frauenkirche in Gunsburg, marveling at its intricate frescoes and rich history.
Our adventure began with a triumphant return to the sun after yesterday’s rainy escapade. We stopped for coffee at a scenic fishing area, marveling at the enormous Carp that swam in the pond. Navigating through charming towns like Munderkingen, we experienced the diverse landscapes of the region.
Exploring Ulm’s charming streets and catching up on laundry was a refreshing way to unwind today.
The rain was relentless today, but the beauty of the Danube trail was undeniable.
Our cycling adventure began with excitement and a bit of neglect in capturing early-day moments. Following GPS tracks, we navigated unfamiliar terrains, enjoying the serene beauty of the Danube and spotting wildlife along the way. Despite a brief rain shower, we successfully reached our hotel and enjoyed a delicious meal, setting the stage for an exciting day ahead.
Embarking on a thrilling adventure along the Danube Radweg, we discovered the stunning source of the mighty Danube River in Donaueschingen. Our journey began at the historic Church Saint John the Baptist, where we set out on an exciting e-bike ride through Fürstenberg Park, enjoying breathtaking views and a delicious lunch at the Furstenberg restaurant. With the sun setting on our first day of exploration, we eagerly anticipated the adventures that awaited us tomorrow.
We’ve traveled over 26 hours, from Seattle to Frankfurt and back. Our adventure is just beginning!
